BARBER MASTER – #CUTATHON2020
Tell us a little bit about your shop.
The Barber Master has been established for 25 years in Croydon, starting with one staff member and now employing 10. Specialists in fades, beards, face shaves and kids cuts, we take a holistic approach when hiring staff as we don’t only help to guide and encourage their barbering skills, but also help with life development and therefore we have become one big family. Each staff member enjoys their work and takes great pride in having the privilege to be asked to style a customer’s hair and/or beard, and never ever take it for granted.
To whom will you be donating the funds from #Cutathon2020?
Have you been personally affected by the fires?
Even though we have not been directly affected by the fires, we all have a fondness for the injured animals and therefore have chosen Wildlife Victoria to donate our proceeds to.
As devastating as the fires are, it’s been encouraging to see communities come together in support of those who’ve been so badly affected. What does “community” mean to you?
The Barber Master has always been involved in charity events including sponsoring local football clubs, kindergartens, schools, fundraising events, Movember, Footmen Golf Day, Rotary Club, Leukaemia Shave For A Cure and the Aboriginal community Big Brothers Day Out. Being able to support our community in any way we can has always been of huge importance and a number one priority.
Do you feel that people can help show leadership in their own local and national communities, considering that our political leaders are refusing to do?
We believe and have experienced it – you get so much more giving back. We all have to ability to stand up and offer our support to anybody in our community needing a hand.
The Barber Master has generously agreed to donate their time and skills to #Cutathon2020 – read more & find out how to get involved here.
